Sounds (2008)

Here are a couple things that I made last year. The assignment was to re-create sounds visually. Two of the six I chose were French and Marimba. I think the Marimba one worked better for the assignment, but I like the French one better. I like how disgusting his words of french-love spilled all over her look and how pleased she is with something that looks similar to vomit.

Bring your heart to India.

Here is some practice I had last year with making event posters: These are a few different versions of a poster I made for a mission trip to India.

Zine and Alternate Ego Project- (WARP 2007)

For this project we needed to create a mini magazine that our chosen alternate ego's would be interested in. I chose to be a Chameleon named Yu. Yu was supposed to automatically be whoever she was around. When Yu was around you, she wasnn't Yu, she was you. Yeah, it was weird, LOL.
The chameleon's tongue goes throughout the whole zine, but it's kind of hard to understand, so I'll label them underneath each picture. If you want to read what they say, just click on the photo to enlarge it.
Sightings
Cuisine
Style
This was a piece of see through chameleon that you could take out and put on top of the various patterns to see how this season's fashions would flatter. :P
Colors
Blue: I focused on a chameleon's musings about color blue.
Documentation: For this project, we were supposed to spend a whole day (I did it for I think 30 minutes, LOL) as our alter egos and to document our interaction with people. I carried around a bag of different colored shirts, changing into whatever color shirt the person I was interacting with was wearing. I documented a couple of people that, as a chameleon, I "turned into," adopting and documenting their interests and personalities. This, too, was really weird.
45,000 Dead: A tragedy strikes the chameleons.
It's not easy being unseen: A poem by Yu.
The End.
